Blacks and Social Security

The Social Security retirement age for anyone born after 1960 is 67 years old. The average life expectancy according to a report by CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) for black males in the United States is 68.6 years old. So after paying into the system for 40 or 50 years a black man in the United States, on average, can expect a little over one and a half years of payments from Social Security. Read The CDC Report
