| What’s In A Lie?
I Lewis Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff, has been found guilty of lying and faces many years in prison. Joseph C. Wilson, his tormentor, has been found guilty of lying, and out in Hollywood they are going to make a movie of his life. He is Hollywood’s idea of a hero. Nevada Dems Nix Fox Debate A statement released Friday night from Fox Vice President David Rhodes said: “News organizations will want to think twice before getting involved in the Nevada Democratic Caucus, which appears to be controlled by radical fringe, out-of-state in interest groups, not the Nevada Democratic Party. In the past, MoveOn.org has said they ‘own’ the Democratic party. While most Democrats don’t agree with that, it’s clearly the case in Nevada.”
Republicans for Black Empowerment For over 40 years black voters have staunchly aligned themselves with the Democratic Party on Election Day. However an increasing number have begun questioning the wisdom of supporting social policies rooted in low expectations and government dependency, economic policies that stifle job creation, personal savings and investments, and education policies that prevent parental choice in school placement. Republicans for Black Empowerment has the mission to raise awareness of the benefits offered by conservative solutions to the black community’s concerns. Praise the appeals court and pass the ammunition Samuel Adams: “And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms.” Today’s NAACP symptom of black problems Gordon, a businessman and corporate executive by career, made a bad business call. He assessed the situation he was getting into incorrectly and learned, as we say, the hard way. He thought they wanted him to solve problems and build a better organization. They, or maybe more precisely, Julian Bond, NAACP’s chairman, were looking for someone to carry their political baggage. Symposium: Darfur - Islam’s Killing Fields Why is it that — yet again — another Arab League member is massacring its minority populations? Why is the Western media reluctant to identify the religion and ethnicity of the mass murderers and rapists? Terrorism and Violence in the Sudan: The Islamist Manipulation of Darfur, Part One Terrorism and Violence in the Sudan: The Islamist Manipulation of Darfur, Part Two In the late 1990s, even as oil money began to pour into Khartoum, funds for government services in Darfur began to dry up. Security was virtually non-existent in the countryside and military garrisons rarely ventured out. Gun-rule made an unwelcome return. In 1998 and 1999, northern Arab tribes began moving their herds into Masalit lands earlier than usual, leading to violence in which the Masalit got the worst of it. Thirty thousand Masalit fled to Chad where they were still attacked by Arab militias.

Imus Grills Schumer for Not Visiting Walter Reed Imus: Let me interrupt you for a second, but this is nonsense, Senator Schumer. I want to be respectful, but you can’t possibly be serious and suggest — I mean I’m not a fool. You can’t suggest to me that because the Democrats are now in power that something is going to be done about Walter Reed and about the mess in the Veterans Administration and all of this, and that if the Democrats hadn’t taken control of Congress that nothing would have been done. That’s preposterous; of course it would have. Schumer: Well, something would have been done if the story would have gotten out . . . Imus: Here’s another question. Have you ever been over to Walter Reed? Schumer: Ahh, not in a while, no. Czech Pres: Environmentalism is a religion Environmentalism is a religion that is based more on political ambitions than science, the president of the Czech Republic warned Friday. Speaking at the Cato Institute, a public policy think-tank, President Vaclav Klaus said that environmentalists who clamor for policy change to combat global warming “only pretend” to be promoting environmental protection, and are actually being driven by a political agenda. Black-Owned Businesses Increasing with Emphasis on Health and Social Services The number of private companies owned by African-Americans is on the rise. According to the 2002 Survey of Business Owners, the most recent by the U.S. Census Bureau, businesses owned by Black people now number more than 1 million, more than doubling over a decade. Black business proprietors have experienced an approximate 45 percent gain since the last Survey in 1997 and an increase of about 92 percent since the 1992 survey 10 years prior. ‘Vietnam-Era Lies’ Being Used Against US Troops, Say Ex-POWs Left wing elements in the news media and in the U.S. Congress are working to undermine American soldiers in Iraq just as their predecessors from 30 years ago did in Vietnam, said Rep. Sam Johnson (R-Texas) and George “Bud” Day, director and president of the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation (VVLF).

Saudi Daily Discusses the Phenomenon of Same-Sex Relationships in Some Saudi High Schools and Colleges The following is the full text of the article as it appeared on the Arab News English website: Saudi Student: “Administration at Colleges Do Carry Out Random Inspections to Prevent Such Behavior From Happening” “In a scene that many would describe as disgusting and contrary to the religious and cultural traditions of the Kingdom, sitting intimately in a corner of a classroom at a high school in Abha is Fawziya and Uhoud - two young female ‘lovers.’

Libby was found not guilty on one count, that of lying to the FBI. Shooting Elephants in a Barrel It was not a crime to reveal Valerie Plame’s name because she was not a covert agent. If it had been a crime, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald could have wrapped up his investigation with an indictment of the State Department’s Richard Armitage on the first day of his investigation since it was Armitage who revealed her name and Fitzgerald knew it. JOHN MURTHA: CAVING IN TO ARABS SINCE 1980 Rumored ex-Marine John Murtha, Democrat congressman from Pennsylvania, has become the darling of the cut-and-run crowd for trying to place absurd restrictions on our troops, amounting to withdrawal from Iraq. Were Arab sheiks whispering into his ear? In case you missed the video on “I Love the ’80s,” Rep. Murtha was caught on tape negotiating bribes with Arab sheiks during the FBI’s Abscam investigation in 1980. The Abscam investigation was conducted by Jimmy Carter’s Justice Department, not right-wing Republicans. YELLOWCAKE AND YELLOW JOURNALISM To see how liberal history is created, you need to tune into the nut-cable stations and watch their coverage of the Scooter Libby trial. On MSNBC they’re covering the trial like it’s the Normandy Invasion, starring Elvis Presley, as told by Joseph Goebbels. MSNBC’s “reportage” consists of endless repetition of arbitrary assertions, half-truths and thoroughly debunked canards. No one else cares about the trial — except presumably Scooter Libby — so the passionate left is allowed to invent a liberal fable without correction. Night after night, it is blithely asserted on “Hardball” that Wilson’s trip to Niger debunked the claim that Saddam Hussein had been seeking enriched uranium from Niger. “We don’t have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven’t taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much” “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction” “Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the democrats believe every day is April 15.” “To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last — but eat you he will.” “Abortion is advocated only by persons who have themselves been born.” - Ronald Reagan

“MUST HAVE” PDFS Sociology and Classical Liberalism Still Losing the Race? “The man is on the Court. You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease. Well, that’s how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person.” Bruce Gordon Resigns from NAACP Citing Clashes With the Board Bruce Gordon, who resigned last week, citing a clash with the organization’s 64-member board, apparently was unable to reconcile his corporate conciliatory style with the board’s veteran civil rights advocates. Ronald Reagan on Environmentalism Buy the 5 CD collection on Amazon Of Hate-Speech and Hypocrisy The left-wing Daily Kos blog has been driving a campaign to have companies pull ads from Ann Coulter’s website after the conservative author used a slur in a recent speech, but leftist websites — including Daily Kos — have themselves used the offending word in the past. Daily Kos postings have included the word “faggot” at least three times in recent years, as have other liberal blogs — without apology, and without generating a furor. Ronald Reagan on Cuba Buy the 5 CD collection on Amazon Jimmy Carter: Palestinians ‘Victims of Oppression’ Despite the storm it ignited, former U.S. president Jimmy Carter held fast on Thursday to his accusation that Israel oppresses the Palestinians on the West Bank and Gaza and seeks to colonize their land. Iraqi Columnist: What Is Happening in Iraq Will End in the Defeat of Terrorism and in the Region’s Recovery From Its Ills “There is nothing that [some] Arabs hate more than the word ’success,’ when it appears in connection with the political process in Iraq. To wit: Every article by a reformist who wants the good of Iraq is met with the same unrestrained and pessimistic responses; he is scolded, his opinion is disparaged, he is accused of ignorance, etc. In contrast, anyone who writes an article indicating the failure of U.S. policy in Iraq is praised and glorified, and is characterized as having plenty of objective knowledge on the subject, and acute analytic skills. [These Arabs] want [to see] Iraq turned into piles of rubble in which the owls hoot at night, as their now-buried master, Saddam Hussein, [once] promised. Unfortunately, however, they are fools who know nothing about the logic of history. [They do not realize] that the heavy wheels of history will roll over them mercilessly, and that what is happening in Iraq is destined [not for failure], but for success.
