After Pearl Harbor, the entire country got behind the war effort, and the time is heralded as one of the most unifying periods in our history.  But for the Left, support for the war had nothing to do whatever with support for the United States.  The American Left got behind the war effort solely because they correctly saw Hitler’s Germany as a clear and present danger to the Soviet Union specifically and the world communist movement in general.  Hitler’s invasion of the Soviet Union was a “call to arms” for communists everywhere. 

Islamberg is not as benign as a Buddhist monastery or a Carmelite convent. Nearly every weekend, neighbors hear sounds of gunfire. Some, including a combat veteran of the Vietnam War, have heard the bang of small explosives. None of the neighbors wished to be identified for fear of “retaliation.” “We don’t even dare to slow down when we drive by,” one resident said. “They own the mountain and they know it and there is nothing we can do about it but move, and we can’t even do that. Who wants to buy a property near that?”

In total, Marxist regimes murdered nearly 110 million people from 1917 to 1987. For perspective on this incredible toll, note that all domestic and foreign wars during the 20th century killed around 35 million. That is, when Marxists control states, Marxism is more deadly then all the wars of the 20th century, including World Wars I and II, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

And what did Marxism, this greatest of human social experiments, achieve for its poor citizens, at this most bloody cost in lives? Nothing positive. It left in its wake an economic, environmental, social and cultural disaster.

There is more to Taheri-azar than just his words to police. His actions in court, and the images of him in the media, suggest that he views himself as a hero in the Muslim world. A smug smile as he walked out of the courthouse and an exuberant wave to the TV cameras indicated that he thinks someone in the Middle East, or maybe in the United States, will look upon him as a leader and follow his example. He reportedly told detectives that “people all over the world are being killed in war and now it is the people in the United States[’] turn to be killed.” If this comment doesn’t lead people to conclude that this was an act of terrorism, it is difficult to see what could.

Lately there has been a trend in the “mainstream” news media to cover up acts of terrorism, calling them “isolated incidents”.  Some examples of this are shown below, but I’m sure there have been other similar cases.  It’s not difficult to connect the dots when dots are so plentiful.

A group of men had brought him a video showing them firing assault weapons and chanting, “God is Great!” in Arabic. They wanted him to transfer the footage onto a DVD.

So he said something, calling the Mount Laurel Police Department, who in turn contacted the FBI.

And thus began the downfall of one of the most thoroughly infiltrated and documented group of terrorism suspects in recent history — six men from Yugoslavia and the Middle East who were charged Tuesday with plotting to slaughter scores of American soldiers at Fort Dix and perhaps other military installations in the Northeast.

Federal agents in the Midwestern state of Illinois have arrested a 22-year-old man for plotting what they describe as “violent jihad.” Authorities say the alleged plot involved the use of hand grenades at a local shopping mall. VOA’s Greg Flakus has more from our Houston bureau.

After apparently undergoing a religious awakening, a Saudi Arabian student in Houston killed his Jewish friend by slashing his throat.

Mohammed Ali Alayed, 23, pleaded guilty to the Aug. 6 attack on Ariel Sellouk, also 23, who almost was decapitated with a knife, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Our century is noted for its absolute and bloody wars. World War I saw nine-million people killed in battle, an incredible record that was far surpassed within a few decades by the 15 million battle deaths of World War II. Even the number killed in twentieth century revolutions and civil wars have set historical records. In total, this century’s battle killed in all its international and domestic wars, revolutions, and violent conflicts is so far about 35,654,000.

Yet, even more unbelievable than these vast numbers killed in war during the lifetime of some still living, and largely unknown, is this shocking fact. This century’s total killed by absolutist governments already far exceeds that for all wars, domestic and international. Indeed, this number already approximates the number that might be killed in a nuclear war.

Indeed, one would have to look long and hard even to discover the shooter was a Muslim.

Those few newspapers who dared to mention that Sulejman Talovic was a Bosnian Muslim were careful to follow up by saying there was no reason to believe there was any connection to Islamic terror.

The local television stations in Salt Lake City were downright sympathetic, saying that the gunman (whom they identified as a “teenager”) was a “Srebrenica survivor” as if that were sufficient justification for gunning down ordinary Americans as they went about the daily business. (While any connection with Islam was wholly unjustified.)

According to the New York Times, experts at the National Transportation Safety Board are more convinced than ever that a suicidal pilot caused the crash of EgyptAir 990 after it left New York last October.

But the Egyptian government is pressing the theory that the plane, a Boeing 767, developed a mechanical fault in its tail.

The arraignment Friday December 8 of a Muslim convert on charges of planning an act of “violent jihad” at the largest mall in Rockford, Illinois, has left many people asking how such a thing could happen in this “middle-sized town in the middle of the Middle West.”

They shouldn’t be so surprised.

For almost five years now, I’ve been writing about the presence of Islam here in the Heartland, most recently in the December issue of Chronicles. Yet even today, people want to believe that the Islamic threat is entirely external. After all, President Bush and supporters of the war in Iraq have told us that “We’re fighting them over there so that we don’t have to fight them over here.”

Apparently, someone forgot to explain that to Derrick Shareef.

This 22-year-old black man converted seven years ago to the Nation of Islam. Over 24 hours after the first news reports, his race and the black Muslim connection are still missing from national news reports, though I had reported them on Chronicles’ website by 3 P.M. Friday. According to the Chicago Daily Herald (which picked up this angle several hours later), Shareef’s father and several of his father’s relatives are also members of the Nation of Islam.

Like many news junkies, I’ve noticed that stories putting Muslims in a bad light tend to be sketchy and underreported. A minor example is the comment - “the greatest terrorists in the world occupy the White House”–by the head Muslim chaplain of New York City’s prisons.  In Manhattan, remarks like that are nearly as conventional as talk about the weather, so the controversy was fairly small. It might have been larger if the media had shown any interest in other points the imam made. For instance that Muslim prisoners are being tortured in Manhattan, and that Muslims must be “hard against the kaffir” (i.e., nasty to infidels), which presumably city employees are not paid to recommend. (By the way, why are clergymen city employees at all?)

For over 40 years black voters have staunchly aligned themselves with the Democratic Party on Election Day. However an increasing number have begun questioning the wisdom of supporting social policies rooted in low expectations and government dependency, economic policies that stifle job creation, personal savings and investments, and education policies that prevent parental choice in school placement. Republicans for Black Empowerment has the mission to raise awareness of the benefits offered by conservative solutions to the black community’s concerns.

Do you know where your iPod was made? Do you know by whom?

The London Sunday Mail wanted to find out. It sent reporters to “iPod City,” where most of the Apple music players are made.

“iPod City” is not in the Silicon Valley, by the way. It’s not in the USA. It’s not in the United Kingdom. It’s in Longhua, China.

That’s where some 200,000 Chinese laborers work to make those iPods. That’s more people than live in the city of Little Rock, Ark., for example.

What are the conditions like? How about the pay?

You might think a high-tech company like Apple might care about such matters. You might think the politically correct geeks who founded the company and run it would want to ensure foreign workers were not being exploited.

Here’s what the Sunday Mail found:

• The laborers are housed in dormitories of 100 people each;
• visitors from the outside world are not permitted;
• workers toil for 15 hours a day;
• employees make $50 a month – not even a quarter of the price of one unit;
• the iPod nano is made in a five-story factory secured by police officers.

In fact, the Muslims in France and the rest of Europe, like the blacks in America and the Arabs in Israel, have never had it so good. France’s Muslims have been made citizens by left-wing French governments eager for their votes, so eager that France discriminates not against its Muslims but against its Christians, just as whites are discriminated against in favor of blacks in the United States, and just as Jews are discriminated against in favor of Arabs in Israel.

Interestingly enough, CIA station chief Polgar did not agree. As he said in his August 1989 interview with Vietnam Magazine, he “considered the Paris Peace Treaty a reasonable and honorable compromise as written and signed….The problem was that as the North Vietnamese sensed and observed a weakening of American will and commitment to continue the support of South Vietnam, the Communists became increasingly contemptuous of the letter and spirit of the Paris Treaty. Had the provisions of the Paris Treaty been enforced as, for example, the provisions of the 1953 Korean Armistice Agreement were enforced, the continuity of an independent, if feeble, South Vietnam could have been assured over a period of many years.”

When Omeed Aziz Popal used his SUV as a weapon of mass destruction against 18 innocent Bay Area victims on Tuesday, the liberal media immediately went into cover-up mode.
Rather than describing Popal as an Islamic Jihadist who used his black Honda to gather souls for Allah, the media tried to paint the killer as a victim of “mental instability.” Go here

In the San Francisco Examiner piece linked, the fact that Popal is Muslim is not even mentioned. Instead, Popal is described as a “pleasant” man who was recently married in Afghanistan, but who has had mental problems over the past six months.

A local cab driver allegedly tried to run over two customers after a fight over religion became heated.The incident happened early Sunday morning on the Vanderbilt campus and left one man hospitalized and a cab driver arrested, said policeTwo students visiting from Ohio were coming from a bar downtown when they got into an argument with their driver over religion, said police. After they paid the driver he allegedly ran them down in a parking lot.

Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn added: “It appears this was an isolated incident.” A Bush administration source concurred with that statement, adding that nothing suggested it was anything other than a criminal act.

Israeli officials view the incident differently.

“Though there is no clear-cut evidence that this gunman is related to a terror organization, it’s the most logical assumption that when someone opens fire on an El Al counter in an international airport, most likely this is a terror attack,” said Ephraim Sneh, Israeli transportation minister.

The 18-year-old gunman who killed five people in a crowded Utah shopping mall was a Bosnian Muslim refugee who was prepared to kill many more, say investigators.

An off-duty police officer having an early Valentine’s Day dinner with his wife was credited today with cornering Sulejmen Talovic, exchanging fire with him until other officers arrived to shoot and kill the gunman.

The trench-coated teenager wanted to “to kill a large number of people” and probably would have killed many more if not for the off-duty officer, Police Chief Chris Burbank said.

The setback suffered by the United States in the Vietnam War was rooted in a failure of strategy. Indeed, perhaps no war in American history shows more clearly both the difficulties of making sound strategic judgments and the dire consequences of a lack of clear strategic vision. The Vietnam War thus provides a cautionary tale for American political and military decision-makers about the crucial importance of thinking clearly about strategy. By incorrectly relating military strategy to national policy and by improperly understanding the nature of the conflict, the United States exhausted itself against a secondary enemy in South Vietnam. The American failure in Vietnam also stemmed from trying to fight a traditional conventional war when the conflict’s nature demanded a counterinsurgency effort. Top military commanders, unable to fathom the problem, refused to implement such a strategy despite evidence of its effectiveness.

Today’s news includes this item:

• Sami Ibrahim Isa Abdel Hadi, 39, was stopped for tailgating on Route 46 in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. When a Bergen County police officer called in Abdel Hadi’s North Carolina license plates, he learned that Abdel Hadi had been ordered deported to Brazil in December 2001 and is listed in the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database. Even more interestingly, Abdel Hadi has a valid temporary I.D. from L & L Painting to paint the George Washington Bridge (a high-profile potential terrorist target).

Abdel Hadi is hardly the first actual or potential terrorist stopped due to a routine traffic infringement.

• In July 2004, Michael Wagner’s not wearing a seat belt got him stopped in a SUV near Council Bluffs, Iowa, that had in it “flight training manuals and a simulator, documents in Arabic, bulletproof vests and night-vision goggles, a night-vision scope for a rifle, a telescope, a 9mm semiautomatic pistol and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.”
• Timothy McVeigh was stopped in April 1995 as he sped away from Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people and injured more than 500 because his car lacked a license plate.
• A New Jersey state trooper noticed Yu Kikumura’s odd behavior at a New Jersey Turnpike rest stop in April 1988 and thoroughly searched his vehicle, finding three powerful homemade bombs. Kikumura, a member of the Japanese Red Army, was sentenced to thirty years in jail followed by deportation to Japan.
• Three members of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (Walid Nicolas Kabbani, Georges Fouad Nicolas Younan, and Walid Majib Mourad) were stopped by Richford, Vermont’s only policeman in October 1987, because he was suspicious of their movements. Indeed, they were smuggling a bomb from Canada to the United States.

• September 28, 2006: Bailey, Colorado: Duane Morrison, 53, entered Platte Canyon High School and shot and killed one girl, and sexually assaulted 6 others. Antidepressants were found in his vehicle.
• March 21, 2005: Red Lake Indian Reservation, Minnesota: 16-year-old Native American Jeff Weise was under the influence of the antidepressant Prozac when he shot and killed nine people and wounding five before committing suicide.
• April 10, 2001: Wahluke, Washington: 16-year-old Cory Baadsgaard took a rifle to his high school, and held 23 classmates and a teacher hostage while on a high dose of the antidepressant Effexor.
• March 22, 2001: El Cajon, California: 18-year-old Jason Hoffman was on two antidepressants, Effexor and Celexa, when he opened fire at his California high school wounding five.
• March 7, 2000: Williamsport, Pennsylvania: 14-year-old Elizabeth Bush was on the antidepressant Prozac when she blasted away at fellow students in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, wounding one.
• May 20, 1999: Conyers, Georgia: 15-year-old T.J. Solomon was being treated with a mix of antidepressants when he opened fire on and wounded 6 of his classmates.
• April 20, 1999: Columbine, Colorado: 18-year-old Eric Harris was on the antidepressant Luvox when he and his partner Dylan Klebold killed 12 classmates and a teacher and wounded 23 others before taking their own lives in the bloodiest school massacre to date. The coroner confirmed that the antidepressant was in his system through toxicology reports while Dylan Klebold’s autopsy was never made public.
• April 16, 1999: Notus, Idaho: 15-year-old Shawn Cooper fired two shotgun rounds in his school narrowly missing students; he was taking a mix of antidepressants.
• May 21, 1998: Springfield, Oregon: 15-year-old Kip Kinkel murdered his own parents and then proceeded to school where he opened fire on students in the cafeteria, killing two and wounding 22. Kinkel had been on Prozac.

Antidepressants a Problem? We’re Shocked!

Six years after Kip Kinkel, dosed up with Prozac, killed his parents and two students at Thurston High, in Oregon; five years after Eric Harris, dosed with Luvox, embarked on his day of slaughter at Columbine; well over a decade after naysayers, including Dr. Peter Breggin, the Scientologists and this columnist, raised the alarm about links between antidepressants and violence, the FDA has issued a warning that ten antidepressants can cause deeper depression and, for gosh sakes, even agitation, mania and other forms of violent behavior, even SUICIDE! Who says government doesn’t work?

GlaxoSmithKline’s data from all of their placebo-controlled paroxetine trials showed “hostility events” (which includes mere thoughts as well as actions) in a total of 60 out 9219 paroxetine cases (0.65%) and 20 out of 6455 placebo cases (0.31%). Statistically, one appears to be twice as likely to have an “hostility event” on Paxil than on placebo.

While the families of the victims of the Virginia Tech (VT) massacre begin the process of grieving and recovery of their tragic loss and the nation searches for answers to yet another senseless school shooting, the psychiatric-pharmaceutical cartel is working at a frenzied pace, deflecting media and government attention away from the facts: Cho Seung Hui was reported to have been prescribed “depression” drugs. If so, Hui is the 19th school shooter reported to have been taking psychiatric drugs since 1988, when Prozac, the first in the new class of antidepressants linked to suicide and violent behavior hit the market.

Are meds to blame for Cho’s rampage?

Cho Seung-Hui’s murderous rampage – during which he killed 32 students and faculty members at Virginia Tech – is prompting research into gun laws, resident aliens and graphically violent writings. Investigators also may want to check his medicine cabinet, because psychiatric drugs have been linked to hundreds of violent episodes, including most of the school shootings in the last two decades.

Antidepressants and Violence:
Problems at the Interface of Medicine and Law

In 1989, Joseph Wesbecker shot dead eight people and injured 12 others before killing himself at his place of work in Kentucky. Wesbecker had been taking the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant fluoxetine for four weeks before these homicides, and this led to a legal action against the makers of fluoxetine, Eli Lilly [1]. The case was tried and settled in 1994, and as part of the settlement a number of pharmaceutical company documents about drug-induced activation were released into the public domain. Subsequent legal cases, some of which are outlined below, have further raised the possibility of a link between antidepressant use and violence.

ZOLOFT AND VIOLENCE FACT SHEET

I think we have to come back to the issue of efficacy. We have I think very strong evidence of harm and really not very good evidence of efficacy, and although I know many practitioners are convinced that these drugs work, if you look very closely at the [Prozac] trial, just as an example, at the Childhood Depression Rating Scale, the improvement with placebo was 19 points, and the improvement with the drug was 23.4 points. You bring people in, you start a medication, and you see an improvement, you are very, very likely to believe that the drug is effective, and the reason why we do randomized, double-blind trials is because personal experience, however compelling, is not a reliable way to tell whether drugs work. In the study where they worked, in the [Prozac study], the improvement over placebo was really very, very small, and I would say not detectable by a clinician treating individual patients. …

Suicidal and violent behavior associated with the use of fluoxetine

The paper by Teicher et. al. paper described six depressed patients “free of recent serious suicidal ideation who developed intense, violent suicidal preoccupation after 2-7 weeks of fluoxetine treatment”. The authors estimated that the risk of developing violent suicidal preoccupation on fluoxetine to be 3.5% with a 95% CI (1.3%-7.5%). These findings were alarming, given the high estimated frequency of occurrence and the severity of this adverse effect.

The idea of suicidal action occurring early in the treatment of depression was not new. Detre and Jarecki (1971) described the “rollback phenomenon” in which suicidal ideation may reemerge during pharmacological treatment of severe depression. This idea was paralleled by the observation that severely depressed patients may not have the energy or initiative to act on suicidal thoughts until partial recovery occurs with the initiation of antidepressant medication.(4) In fact, the incidence of suicide attempts in depressed patients is approximately 15%, and SI can be expected to occur in as many as 90% of depressed patients.(5)

What was new was the idea that classes of antidepressants could differentially influence the occurrence of suicide. That fluoxetine might be associated with such an effect was particularly disturbing since its marketing focused on its unique status as an antidepressant agent with significantly fewer side effects (and toxicity) than earlier drugs including tricyclic (TCA) and monoamine oxidase inhibitor antidepressants (MAOI).

Risk Of Violent Behavior With Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors And Antidepressants

Use of one class of antidepressant drugs, the SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), may be associated with severe violence in a small number of individuals say the authors of paper published in PLoS Medicine.

“These medications appear to be safe and effective for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and depression,” Brent tells WebMD. “The number of people likely to be helped is much larger than the number likely to develop some suicidal response to treatment. In our opinion, the risk/benefit ratio is favorable.”

The Drug Connection - Antidepressants and Violence

Julian Whitaker, M.D., believes there is a direct link between the violent shootings and the increased and indiscriminate use of popular antidepressant drugs. Dr. Whitaker points out that many of the gun-related massacres that have made the headlines over the past decade have a common thread: they were perpetrated by people taking Prozac, Zoloft, Luvox, Paxil, or a related drug.

The Real “Mental Health Lessons” from Virginia Tech

So what was needed? Police intervention. Almost certainly, the police were hampered in taking appropriate actions by being encouraged to view Cho as a potential psychiatric patient rather than as a perpetrator. It’s not politically correct to bring criminal charges against someone who is “mentally ill” and it’s not politically correct to prosecute him or to remove him from the campus. Yet that’s what was needed to protect the students. Two known episodes of stalking, setting a fire, and his threatening behavior in class should have been more than enough for the university administration to bring charges against him and to send him off campus.

Police need to be encouraged and empowered to treat potentially dangerous people more as criminals than as patients. For the first time, a jury found a pharmaceutical firm liable for deaths caused by a patient taking an antidepressant. A federal jury in Cheyenne, Wyo., ordered SmithKline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline) to pay $6.4 million to relatives of Donald Schell.

Schell, 60, had been taking Paxil for just 48 hours when he shot and killed his wife, his daughter, his granddaughter and himself.

Antidepressant Makers Withhold Data on Children

Makers of popular antidepressants such as Paxil, Zoloft and Effexor have refused to disclose the details of most clinical trials involving depressed children, denying doctors and parents crucial evidence as they weigh fresh fears that such medicines may cause some children to become suicidal.

The companies say the studies are trade secrets. Researchers familiar with the unpublished data said the majority of secret trials show that children taking the medicines did not get any better than children taking dummy pills.

Although the drug industry’s practice of suppressing data unfavorable to its products is legal, doctors and advocates say such secrecy distorts the scientific record.

“Conflicts of interest and the company control of the data have thrown out the scientific method,” said Vera Hassner Sharav, a critic of the drugs and a patients’ rights advocate. “If hundreds of trials don’t work out, they don’t publish them, they don’t talk about them.”

Could Antidepressants Explain the Virginia Tech Massacre?

A variety of news sources have reported that Cho Seung Hui, the Virginia Tech shooter who killed 32 students and faculty members in a shooting rampage, was taking antidepressant drugs.

Antidepressants have also been used by the perpetrators of previous and similar acts of violence, including the shootings at Columbine High School eight years ago.

There are known links between antidepressants and violent acts. Research on the drug Paxil found that more than twice as many people taking it experienced a serious “hostility event” as did those taking a placebo. In the United States, labels for all antidepressants note that anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, and mania are all possible side effects.

Experts say antidepressant drugs cause suicides instead of preventing them

In June 2001, a jury in Wyoming determined that the antidepressant drug Paxil caused a man to kill his wife, daughter and granddaughter before killing himself. The jury awarded the surviving family $8 million in damages, according to American Medical Publishing’s Prescription Medicines, Side Effects and Natural Alternatives.

In Portland, Ore., Jay Johnston followed his doctor’s orders and took the prescribed antidepressants Zoloft and Prozac. He then attempted suicide with a shotgun, permanently disfiguring himself. In the same month as the Wyoming jury’s decision, Johnston sued his doctor for not properly monitoring him. The jury found the doctor guilty of criminal negligence and awarded Johnston $5 million, reports Dr. Ann Blake Tracy in Prozac: Panacea or Pandora. Similarly, who could forget Eric Harris, who — along with Dylan Klebold — killed 11 people and then himself in the Columbine school shooting? At the time of the shooting, Harris was being treated with the prescription antidepressant Luvox.

These patients are among the growing statistics of people who committed suicide, or tried to commit suicide, while undergoing treatment with prescription antidepressants.

Prozac linked to child suicide risk

Prozac, the only antidepressant certified as safe for children, may make kids more suicidal, according to evidence out Monday.

A large new study added to previous research on Prozac shows that kids taking the drug have about a 50% higher risk of suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts than those getting placebos, says Robert Temple, director of the Office of Drug Evaluation at the Food and Drug Administration.

Fed up with liberal abortion groups linking feminism inexorably with pro-abortion views, a host of “pro-woman organizations” are launching a campaign to re-define the feminist movement and work on solving underlying problems that lead women to choose abortion.

While on the topics of hypocrisy and moral relativism I would be remiss if I didn’t discuss ex-National Organization for Women president Patricia Ireland. I was guest hosting for a national radio program a couple of weeks ago and railed against Ireland and her appointment as the CEO of the YWCA. While conservative religious groups have understandably assailed this event, I know Ireland and was a leader in NOW while she ran it into the ground.

A caller to that program opined that it sounded like I had “an ax to grind.” You bet I do. It’s having watched Ireland hijack NOW and change a feminist organization into one of “social justice,” a code phrase among Socialists for the Leftists’ agenda, primarily focusing on “racism” and perpetuating the pit of victimhood. This debasement of NOW’s initially noble agenda of empowerment into one of promoting hopelessness and alienation has understandably repulsed millions of Americans.

After studying “reams of reportage in 18 major American newspapers and hours of videotape” and numerous interviews of reporters and editors, Shaw estimated that an astounding 80 percent to 90 percent of American journalists favored abortion, thus upholding the alleged right of women to kill the unborn babies in their wombs.

“Show cited scores of examples showing that in content and tone, coverage was riddled with double standards against the anti-abortion camp.” He quoted NBC’s Lisa Meyers as agreeing that “some of the stories I have read or seen have almost seemed like cheerleading for the pro-abortion side.”

One of the most egregious examples of media manipulation of the facts to favor the abortion industry involved the horrendous partial birth procedure in which a late term baby’s body is drawn down the birth canal until the abortionist has reached the child’s skull. He then punctures its head at the base of the skull with scissors, and sucks out its brain. That done, he or she crushes its skull and removes its now lifeless body.

I am highly suspicious of the upsurge of praises of fatherhood and the necessity of kids to have a male role model. I come by this suspicion after much experience with my own two kids and their male role model, their father. By way of illustration, I will relate the story or raising my son and the ways I see that his encounters with his father have shaped him.

In her March 15 posting, titled “wtc7,” on her Rosie.com blog, the controversial TV personality and co-host of ABC’s popular “The View” morning show, starts off by recounting popular conspiracy “factoids” regarding the World Trade Center’s Building No. 7, which collapsed after the two larger “twin towers” fell.

O’Donnell writes:

• The fires in WTC 7 were not evenly distributed, so a perfect collapse was impossible.
• Silverstein said to the fire department commander “the smartest thing to do is pull it.”
• Firefighters withdrawing from the area stated the building was going to “blow up.”
• The roof of WTC 7 visibly crumbled and the building collapsed perfectly into its footprint.
• Molten steel and partially evaporated steel members were found in the debris.

Feminism and Nazism have both …

One of the unintended consequences of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 was the dashing of feminist hopes to make America a gender-neutral or androgynous society. New York City’s fireMEN dared to charge up the stairs of the burning Twin Towers, and the firefighters’ death tally was: men 343, women 0.

It is a testament to their courage and skill that many thousands of people were successfully evacuated despite mass confusion. The fewer than 3,000 officeworkers who died were mostly trapped above the explosions and could not have been evacuated under any scenario.

The feminists had made repeated attempts to sex-integrate New York’s fire department through litigation, even though the women could not pass the physical tests. They even persuaded a judge to rule that upper body strength is largely irrelevant to firefighting.

September 11th called for all the masculine strength that strong men could muster. Firefighting is clearly a job for real men to do the heavy-lifting, not affirmative-action women.

O’Donnell, according to the media watchdog Newsbusters, said: “But interesting with the British sailors, there were 15 British sailors and Marines who apparently went into Iranian waters and they were seized by the Iranians. And I have one thing to say: Gulf of Tonkin, Google it. Okay.”

When boys bubble over with unbridled testosterone, instead of challenging, disciplining and harnessing their energies, as teachers once did, they are emasculated or medicated. The former means being made over in the image of woman; the latter entails being diagnosed as “learning disabled” and drugged with Ritalin. It is a consequence of the demonization of male biopsychology.

The school is a microcosm of society. Both have been thoroughly feminized. The false feminist narrative suffuses every aspect of a boy’s life. Women everywhere are depicted as brawny, brainy and beautiful; men as buffoons. On celluloid, an 80-pound waif manages to wallop a 200-pound gangster with no punctures to the silicone sacks.

When male teachers manage to infiltrate the public-school system, they are of the androgynous genus – and every inch as feminist as their XX-carrying colleagues. The quintessential male role models – the Founding Fathers – are persona non grata in courses, as are other so-called pale, patriarchal pigs. A boy risks purgatory and worse should he mention weaponry or female anatomy.

There is great deception in America … civil rights.  Many moral right’s issues are deceitfully being labeled as “civil rights.”    Thus, many moral right’s issues are being violated in the name of “civil rights.”  Listen, just because you’re a U.S. citizen doesn’t give you the right to disobey God.  For example: Being a U.S. citizen gives you the “right” to vote; but, it does not give you the right to be homosexual.  I don’t care what the Supreme Court says, the Word of God condemns homosexuality.  America is filled with demented homosexuals and murderous abortionists who boast of being respectable citizens, committing their sins with the government’s permissions; but, God will judge them for their sins.

Every woman has her rights; but, there’s a world of difference between human rights (which we are born with), civil rights (which are granted to all U.S. citizens), and moral rights (which belong to God alone).  A mother who claims the “right” to murder her baby through an abortion is violating God’s moral rights.  Any honest person knows that abortion is wrong.  The Bible calls it murder (Exodus 20:13).  Nearly all abortions are the result of human irresponsibility.  No one has a right to sin!  Abortion is cold-blooded murder!  This is a moral right that belongs to God because only God can give life, and God should be the only One who takes life.

As the percentage of males on our college campuses continues to decline, many observers are finally beginning to ask questions.

Much of the discussion has focused on the fact that boys at all levels K-12 have fallen seriously behind their female counterparts, and how our schools are not meeting boys’ needs.

This discussion of males’ educational problems, particularly the problems of low-income and minority males, is long overdue, and boys’ sagging educational performance is one of the main reasons for the increasing disappearance of male students from our college campuses.

However, there is another, unacknowledged reason why some males don’t go to college; rampant anti-male feminism has made college campuses a place where many males feel unwanted and unwelcome. To use a feminist term, our universities have become “hostile environments” for young men.

There is an old military adage that says the purpose of an army is to “make noise, hurt people and break things.” My, how politically incorrect such a notion must seem today to the legions of liberal activists and feminists who are working double-time to destroy the finest fighting force on the planet.

It was parents’ orientation at my son’s new college when the young co-ed introduced her academic pursuit as “Women’s Studies.” My son and I sat stone-faced, desperately trying to hold back the smirks we knew would reveal our thoughts about the absurdity of such an “intellectual, academic” pursuit.

“Where are the degrees in ‘Men’s Studies’?” I wanted to ask. Of course, there aren’t any. Only the pro-lesbian, egocentric, sexually perverse “Women’s Studies” majors and minors are considered politically correct. The clear bigotry and plain ridiculousness of such classes, and the messages they send our college men and women, seemed lost on the poor young girl. The reality is that she and thousands of co-eds across the country are being steeped in nothing more than the bitter propaganda, indoctrination and hypocrisy that fill the caldron of radical feminism.

Although it began as a justifiable reaction against real economic and social injustices, there’s ample evidence that the feminist movement — 21st-century style — has become nothing more than a witches’ brew of victimization, insecurity, and resentment.

Dr. Laura reminds readers that the feminist movement did not originally “focus on equal pay for equal work,” but rather on “how marriage, husbands, men in general, and children in specific were the enemies and oppressors of true womanhood.” The movement, she says, not only promoted man hatred but self-loathing in women “of nurturing breasts, life-producing wombs, and an emotionally sensitive, nurturing spirit.”

I’m not the first person to say that this is where feminism has failed us, arguing for our place in the boardroom but ineffective in changing society’s attitude to mothers and mothering and the responsibility we have to the children we create. The greater our working expectations for ourselves, in many ways the greater the cost to our children. Where is the play time with our kids?
