There’s something I’ve noticed after writing hundreds of essays about politics, history, race, immigration, education, government corruption, and American culture.
The names change. The headlines change. The politicians come and go. But many of the same ideas, arguments, and political tactics keep showing up.
And most people are so busy trying to keep up with today’s news that they’ve forgotten what happened six months ago, much less twenty years ago.
That’s where Carnell Knowledge comes in.
Over at my main publication, Mr. Chris Arnell, I’ve spent years researching and writing detailed essays on subjects that don’t always get the attention or scrutiny they deserve. Some are thousands of words long, packed with statistics, historical examples, and supporting research.
Not everyone has time to read all that. Hell, sometimes I wonder how I found the time to write it.
So I’m doing something a little different here.
Carnell Knowledge takes three or four related investigations, pulls together their most important findings, and connects them to what’s happening in America today.
Think of it as getting the substance of several essays in one sitting, without having to spend your entire afternoon reading them.
Each article will stand on its own. You can read the condensed investigation and walk away with a better understanding of the subject. Or, if something catches your interest, you can follow the links to the original essays and dig into the details yourself.
I’ll cover political strategy, government spending, historical controversies, cultural change, media narratives, and plenty of other subjects. Whenever possible, I’ll connect those earlier investigations to current events, including what’s changed, what hasn’t, and where the evidence leads.
I’ll also revisit my own conclusions when new facts warrant it. Research isn’t worth much if you’re unwilling to question your previous assumptions.
Everything here will be free to read, just as it is at my main publication. Paid subscriptions are available for anyone who wants to help support the research and writing, but nobody needs to pay to access the articles.
You can find my full-length essays at mrchrisarnell.com, while Carnell Knowledge will focus exclusively on these shorter, connected investigations.
My goal is simple: give you enough information to recognize the bigger picture when the next headline comes along.
Welcome to Carnell Knowledge.
Brain not to scale.
